RIYADH. Saudi Arabia has introduced new measures permitting highly skilled foreign workers to bring eligible family members to the Kingdom while completing their work visa procedures, the Ministry of Interior announced Tuesday.
The new policy is coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and is aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents in the Kingdom.
Eligible Family Members
Heads of households meeting the skilled worker criteria can now bring their spouses, sons under the age of 25, and unmarried daughters to Saudi Arabia.
Family members’ entry visas can be issued concurrently with the completion of the highly skilled worker‘s employment visa procedures, provided all application requirements are met. This streamlines the process by allowing family arrival to coincide with the worker’s visa approval.
Residency Procedures After Arrival
Residence permit procedures for family members will be completed after their arrival in the Kingdom in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
The measure represents a policy shift aimed at improving conditions for expatriate families working in Saudi Arabia, allowing families to reunite more efficiently with reduced administrative delays.
