JEDDAH. Abeer Medical Group has launched MedPath, a healthcare career exposure and guidance initiative designed for high school students. The program guides students exploring academic and professional pathways in healthcare fields.
The inaugural MedPath program was conducted in cooperation with the Goodwill Global Initiative (GGI). 22 students from GGI’s Talent Lab participated in the first session took place at Abeer Medical Center in Sharafiyah. Students toured the facility and visited multiple departments. Medical experts from Abeer guided the students through each department and explained diagnostic methodologies, equipment, and career options.
Dr. Niyas Sirajuddin, Head of the Emergency Room at Abeer, provided an initial briefing on healthcare sector opportunities. Following the departmental tours, Dr. Jemshith Ahmed, Vice President of Abeer Medical Group, addressed the students. Dr. Ahmed Alungal, Executive Vice President of Abeer, and Hassan Cheruppa, President of GGI, also interacted with the group. A question-and-answer session followed where students asked questions about healthcare careers and industry trends.
MedPath is a structured initiative designed to provide healthcare career exposure and community engagement. The program aims to help high school students gain practical knowledge about medical fields and healthcare career prospects.
The event was organized by a coordination team including Operations Manager Sultan Mahmood, Patient Experience Manager Asif Iqbal, Branding and Communications Manager Javid Ahmed, Facility Director Jaleel Alungal, and other administrative staff.
