JEDDAH. The much-awaited Saudi-India Festival Season 2, organized by the Goodwill Global Initiative (GGI) in collaboration with the Consulate General of India in Jeddah, will take place on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the International Indian School, Al-Rehab, Jeddah.
This year’s festival will feature a special exhibition highlighting the history of Indian migration to Saudi Arabia, along with a variety of cultural programs celebrating the shared heritage of both nations.
The Consul General of India in Jeddah, Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, said the festival underscores the centuries-old India–Arab friendship and the growing strategic partnership between the two countries. He added that the event serves as a platform to further strengthen cultural exchange and people-to-people connections.
The main attraction of the festival will be the exhibition, showcasing 50 years of Indian migration to the Gulf region, with a focus on Saudi Arabia. It will also spotlight the rich tradition of Indo-Arab ties and the contributions of the Indian community to the Kingdom.
Popular young Indian artists and renowned Saudi performers are set to take the stage, presenting traditional and folk art forms that reflect the cultural diversity of both Arab and Indian traditions.
Season 1 of the Saudi-India Festival, held on January 19, 2024, was a major success, drawing a large crowd, including hundreds of Saudi nationals and members of the Indian diaspora. GGI expects an even higher turnout for the upcoming event.
The program structure for Season 2 was finalized during the GGI General Body meeting, chaired by President Hassan Cheruppa. General Secretary Ishaq Poondoli and Treasurer Jaleel Kannamangalam were also spoke.
