RIYADH. The Ministry of Sports confirmed on Tuesday that Saudi Arabia would host the Italian Super Cup again, with the game slated to be held in Riyadh from 2-6 January 2025. It will be contested by four of Serie A’s biggest Italian clubs — Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus and Atalanta BC.
It is the fifth time the Italian Super Cup has been scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia. In 2018, the first was played in Jeddah as Juventus lifted the trophy by defeating AC Milan. The event moved to Riyadh in 2019, where Lazio were winners over Juventus. Inter Milan won the 2022 version of this event with a victory over AC MIlan in final and earlier this year they defended their title by defeating Napoli.
The upcoming hosting of the Italian Super Cup underscores the continued success of Saudi Arabia’s sports sector in organizing major international events. This aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals to become a preferred destination for global sports and athletes.
