Booming Jewellery Market in Saudi Arabia
SAJEX 2025 is poised to strengthen India-Saudi bilateral trade ties, with discussions at the event highlighting new opportunities in the Jewellery sector. Saudi Arabia’s booming consumer sectors, including retail, luxury, and tourism, are fuelling demand, particularly among millennials who are driving interest in both traditional and modern Jewellery designs. The country’s high purchasing power, favourable business climate, simplified regulations, and increased foreign direct investment (FDI) inflow make it an attractive market for global Jewellery businesses.
The diamond and gold Jewellery market in Saudi Arabia is projected to grow significantly, from USD 4.56 billion in 2024 to USD 8.34 billion by 2030, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.59%. Additionally, the market holds a USD 112 billion export potential to Saudi Arabia from key global economies. While gold remains culturally dominant, demand is rising for diamonds, platinum, and lab-grown Jewellery, driven by a youth-led shift toward modern designs and sustainability. The growth of e-commerce, modern malls, and fashion retail is also reshaping consumer habits, further boosting the Jewellery sector.
