The new FM radio is expected to benefit Saudi residents, Umrah and Hajj pilgrims, visitors, and tourists alike in the country.
According to the company officials, Malayalam and Hindi language programs have already secured frequency in Jeddah and Riyadh, with Dammam soon to follow. Malayalam programs will reach listeners on the frequency 101.7 in Riyadh and 104.5 in Jeddah, while Hindi language broadcasts in Riyadh and Jeddah will be available on the frequency 101.5. Broadcasting in English and Tagalog will begin soon, and listeners can tune in through their FM radio devices or online streaming platforms.
“We are excited to announce the launch of Capital Radio Network and bring high-quality radio entertainment to the people of Saudi Arabia, particularly the expatriate communities. This will be our entry into the growing media and entertainment industry of the Kingdom,” said Rahim Pattarkadavan, CEO of Cluster Arabia Group and founder of Capital Radio Network.
This initiative is in line with Saudi Arabia’s efforts to increase communication and cultural exchange between the Kingdom and the world. Company founder and CEO Rahim Pattarkadawan said that the company’s entry into the FM radio field is a significant step towards the Saudi rulers’ vision of an unprecedented leap into the field of media and communication. After four years of operation, the first foreign language FM radio station in Saudi Arabia has been approved by the Saudi Ministry of Information.
The radio stations are launched completely independently, with no ties to any existing local or international media company. Rahim Pattarkadavan expressed his gratitude to Saudi Ruler King Salman, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Amir Mohammed bin Salman, and the country’s ministries of investment, commerce, and media for playing a crucial role in Saudi Vision 2030 through the first FM radio project.
Cluster Arabia’s new FM radio initiative marks a significant milestone in the country’s media and communication sector, providing a platform for cultural exchange and dialogue. Stay tuned for further updates on the launch of Capital Radio in the coming months.
