A New Shopping Era in the Heart of Jeddah: Al Wafa Hypermarket Opens Its Latest Branch in Baghdadiya

JEDDAH: Al Wafa Hypermarket, the prominent retail chain under the Western International Group, has launched its latest outlet in Saudi Arabia’s commercial capital, Jeddah. The branch was inaugurated in a grand ceremony held at Sariya Square in Baghdadiya, attended by several eminent personalities. This marks Al Wafa Group’s 13th outlet in Saudi Arabia and its 4th in the Makkah Region.

The hypermarket was officially opened to the public by Municipality Chief Sheikh Al-Sayeed, who performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event saw the presence of distinguished guests, including Dr. Mohammed Al-Muntashiri (Jeddah Municipality Advisor), prominent businessman Dr. Salah Malikka, and Sheikh Mohammed Saad Mohammed. Al Wafa Group Directors Siddique Koroth, Mohammed Koroth, Majid Koroth, and Abdul Nassar were also present, alongside Chief Procurement Officer Nassar, Chief Marketing Officer Fahad Mayon, and representatives from the Chamber of Commerce.

The new facility is equipped with world-class amenities. Spanning approximately 50,000 square feet, the hypermarket features a spacious parking area capable of accommodating around 300 vehicles simultaneously, according to Director Abdul Nassar. CMO Fahad Mayon emphasized that the group’s core mission is to provide high-quality products to the public at affordable prices. CPO Nassar added that customers can look forward to massive inaugural offers as well as special deals in connection with the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.

Al Wafa offers a comprehensive shopping experience under one roof, featuring electronics, fashion, bakery items, and home appliances, alongside fresh meat, fish, and daily essentials. A key highlight is the availability of fresh vegetables imported from India at highly attractive prices. Management noted that the new location in Baghdadiya, situated close to Sharafiya, will be immensely beneficial for local residents as well as Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
