RIYADH. Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation has reached a new milestone with over 28 million digital identities now issued through the Absher platform, the Ministry of Interior announced.

The Absher platform, which serves individuals, businesses, and government entities, now offers more than 460 digital services. These digital IDs allow users to access government services and conduct secure transactions through both Absher and the national access portal, Nafath.

This digital evolution represents a significant step toward Vision 2030’s goals of improved service delivery. The transformation has already shown impressive results, with Saudi Arabia climbing 25 positions in the UN e-Government Development Index 2024.

The Kingdom now stands at:

>> 4th globally in Digital Services
>> 1st in the Middle East region
>> 2nd among G20 nations
>> 7th worldwide in E-Participation

Riyadh has emerged as a global digital hub, ranking 3rd among 193 cities worldwide in digital government services. The success stems from decades of digital transformation efforts by the Ministry of Interior, resulting in faster, more efficient public services. Users can now complete transactions securely through integrated platforms, marking a significant shift from traditional government service delivery.
